$12.99
Description:

The MG-KRETE™ HIGH TEMPERATURE RETARDER is a powder additive to be added to the MG-KRETE™ Concrete Repair Material to extend working time in high temperature environments. The use of the HIGHTEMPERATURE RETARDERwill not alter the performance characteristics of the MG-KRETE™greatly.

Application:

The MG-KRETE™ HIGH TEMPERATURE RETARDERis available in 7 and 35lb. (3.2 and 15.9kg) pails. The set time and working properties of MG-KRETE™vary according to a number of factors such as ambient temperature, temperature of the substrate, depth of pour, in direct sunlight or cloudy, and air movement. When ambient temperature rises above 70°F (21°C) HIGHTEMPERATURE RETARDERmay be used to extend the working time. TheHIGH TEMPERATURE RETARDERcan be used to help place MG-KRETE™ in temperature as high as 100ºF (38ºC). The following chart shows the effect of the HIGH TEMPERATURE RETARDER on MG-KRETE™ setting time.

Temperature: 70°F (21°C)
Approximate Setting Time: 30 Minutes
Required Weight of High Temp. Retarder Needed Per bag of MG-KRETE: .75cup

Temperature: 80°F - 90°F (27°C - 32°C)
Approximate Setting Time: 15-30 Minutes
Required Weight of High Temp. Retarder Needed Per bag of MG-KRETE: 1.25 Cup - 2 Cups

Temperature: 100°F (38°C)
Approximate Setting Time: 10-30 Minutes
Required Weight of High Temp. Retarder Needed Per bag of MG-KRETE: 2.75 Cups - 4 Cups

*The above guidelines are based on actual experience. Factors including ambient temperature, direct sunlight, substrate temperature, and air movement (wind) may affect the actual setting time. Always test in your actual working conditions to determine desired setting time.

Mixing:

To mix in the HIGH TEMPERATURE RETARDER, pour the liquid activator in the container first, add the retarder, add the aggregate then add the dry mix MG-KRETE™ Part A. Mix and handle the MG-KRETE™ in a consistent manner as per the MG-KRETE™ data sheet
